Triumph has released all the details of its new TF 250-X Competition Motocross Bike
Triumph has been working hard to build a new 4-stroke competition dirtbike from the ground up. With a brand-new racing powertrain with a unique aluminum chassis, offering a class leading power to weight ratio. Donned with high end components to ensure its capability.
We know Triumph hasn’t been a main player in the dirt category, which is why throughout the design and testing process of this bike they’ve have the legendary Ricky Carmichael, and five-time world champion Iván Cervantes take part in every facet of the machine, to assist in creating the most capable machine possible.
The single-cylinder 4-stroke will offer a five-speed gearbox, paired with a 13/48 drive ratio. Attributing to a plush ride is the KYB 48 mm adjustable coil spring fork with 310 mm of travel, in the rear is a KYB adjustable coil shock with 305 mm of travel. Seat height is 960 mm, with wet weight sitting at 103.87 kg.
It’s not well-known that Triumph was once part of the dirt category of motorcycling. Almost 100 years ago Triumph competed in what was widely considered the very first motocross competition in March 1924, in Camberley, Surrey. Triumph is now bringing this unknown side of its history back to life with the TF 250-X.
The Triumph TF 250-X is not yet available, but interested riders can make an order inquiry on the Triumph website to reserve your bike. The price for the TF 250-X begins at $11,495 CAD, we are hoping to spot one of these new machines at one of the many upcoming Canadian motorcycle shows.
