Honda sold more motorcycles than any other brand in Canada in 2014.

Honda Canada announced that 10,930 new Honda motorcycles made their way into Canadian households last year. Honda led sales in the off road, dual sport and sport categories.

Historically, Honda has ushered many new riders to motorcycling, and it kept the tradition by also leading sales of entry-level motorcycles with the CBR500R and Grom. The last time Honda led sales in Canada was in 2007.

“Motorcycles are at the very core of the Honda brand,” said Honda president and CEO Jerry Chenkin in a press release. “It’s where our company began and we’re tremendously proud to have moved into the top sales position in Canada.”

Honda has been introducing new models at a rapid pace in the last few years, including more recently bikes like the CBR300R, CBR650F, and has reintroduced the VFR800F, which has been a long-time steady seller.
