Personal Injury

Michael Hardacre

Head of Occupiers and Public Liability

I’ve had the privilege of helping seriously injured claimants for over 20 years. I’m as motivated as ever to help people to get back on their feet, with the right treatment and assistance and ultimately, to maximise their compensation.

Expert profile of Michael Hardacre

Get to know Michael

I qualified as a solicitor in 1997 specialising in personal injury. I’m now a principal lawyer and head up the occupiers and public liability teams at Slater and Gordon.

In my role as a principal lawyer, I act on behalf of seriously and catastrophically injured clients who’ve suffered as a result of accidents at work and accidents in public places.

During the two decades I’ve been representing seriously injured clients, I've secured significant awards of compensation for my clients, particularly in cases for the families of very seriously injured people and victims of fatal accidents.

Career highlights

There are too many to mention. The most difficult, challenging and professionally rewarding cases are where you're able to really make a difference to someone who has been put in a life changing situation through no fault of their own. My job is to fight hard on my clients’ behalf and secure them compensation to help them move on with and improve their lives. That’s what I do best.

Recognition

I’ve been accredited with a Band 2 ranking in the independent legal guide, Chambers and Partners for a number of years. The 2022 edition states: "Michael Hardacre is hugely experienced at representing clients in complex, multi-track personal injury claims." "Michael was fantastic - he kept me updated throughout and supported me through what was a very difficult process. He provided really excellent service from day one and worked incredibly hard on my case."

I’m also recommended in the independent legal guide, the Legal 500, and have been on numerous occasions.

The extra mile

I’m a former President of the Manchester Law Society and continue to sit on Council. In that role, I’ve been able to give something back to the profession, to help new lawyers and get involved in charitable causes.
