BMW’s new entry into the small-displacement segment follows the winning formula of its Japanese competitors. The single-cylinder roadster shares a distinct family resemblance to its bigger brother, the S1000R. The new model will be manufactured in India and will see wide distribution thanks to it’s licence and insurance friendly displacement and reasonable price tag; MSRP here in Canada has been announced at $5,250 , putting it right on par with the competition. We’ll have to get our hands on one before we can comment on performance comparisons but the numbers look good and we’re looking forward to sharing our take.
