Indian Motorcycles Recall
Transport Canada has issued a recall of Indian Motorcycles’ 2015 line of Chief models due to a possible issue with the rear brake.
Transport Canada Recall # 2015526
Units Affected: 431
Recall Details
On certain motorcycles, the primary cup seal in the rear master cylinder could tear. If this were to occur, brake fluid pressure to the rear caliper would be reduced, and the performance of the rear brake would be degraded. This would increase stopping distances and could affect braking control, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Correction: Dealers will replace the rear brake master cylinder piston assembly.
