Canadian speed skater and four-time Olympic medalist Denny Morrison is in the midst of an improbable comeback following a horrific 2015 motorcycle crash. The incident left Morrison with severe injuries as well as a rod now permanently implanted in his leg. Then, just eleven months into his recovery, he suffered a stroke while competing in a 25-day bicycle race from Arizona to Utah – now that’s rehab!
Morrison’s recent qualification for the 2018 Canadian Olympic Team is one of the many inspirational stories we’ll hear about our Canadian athletes over the course of these Winter Games. Let’s hope some of that motivation turns into gold.
