Harley-Davidson Canada Leadership Change
Press Release
Harley-Davidson Canada has named Ignacio Isusi as its new managing director. Current Managing Director Anoop Prakash will be moving to Milwaukee in a key position as Director of U.S. Marketing and Market Development.
Ignacio ‘Iñaki’ Isusi, born and raised in San Sebastian, Spain, has been a part of Harley-Davidson Motor Company for 14 years. During his tenure, he has held leadership roles around the world, most recently as Managing Director of Mexico. There, he led the brand to become the number one heavyweight motorcycle manufacturer and celebrated the 110th anniversary of Harley-Davidson in the country with the biggest motorcycling event in the history of Mexico.
“This is an honour,” he says. “As we celebrate Harley-Davidson’s 100th year in Canada, I’m thrilled to be a part of this new adventure for the brand. This country has one of the strongest dealer networks in the world and a vibrant and unique customer base. We want to couple this experience with fresh ideas to continue to appeal to our current ridership and pique the interest of new riders nationwide.”
Over the past two years, Harley-Davidson Canada acquired the company’s Canadian distributor and established the new Canadian subsidiary operation. During that time, the Canadian market experienced significant sales growth and introduced new initiatives, like 1903: A Harley-Davidson Café.
“2017 will be an exciting year for Harley-Davidson in Canada,” states Isusi. “Not only will this mark our 100th Anniversary in the country, but it will also come with new product launches, strengthening our lineup of city, cruiser and touring motorcycles, accessories and apparel. We will continue our focus on outstanding customer experiences to expand the reach of our legendary brand. We embrace the diversity of this great country along with our Harley-Davidson enthusiasts and unite to ride together.”
