Follow the 2016 BMW GS Trophy with Costa Mouzouris
Motorcycle Mojo’s Costa Mouzouris leaves today for Thailand where he will ride with Team Canada in the 2016 BMW GS Trophy.
Beginning on February 28 Mouzouris will join Danick Cyr, Scott Campbell, and Cory Villeneuve on a seven-day adventure in the rain forests of northern Thailand.
BMW has prepared 114 R1200GS motorcycles for the rally participants and attending media. This year’s route will be tighter and more technical than previous GS Trophy events, and the forecast calls for high temperatures and humidity, making the special riding challenges along the route that much more difficult.
There will be a photo competition that counts towards the overall points tally for each team (something in the photo will identify Team Canada). Photos will be posted at gstrophy.com on Feb. 29 and March 2 at 9:00 AM Eastern time. You’ll have 18 hours to vote at bmw-motorrad.com/voting.
You can follow Team Canada’s progress daily here at motorcyclemojo.com, as well as on our Facebook page.
BMW Motorrad will post regular updates and video. Below are links where you can follow the action:
