Yamaha announces the all-new 2021 Tracer 9 GT
Yamaha is happy to announce its next generation in it’s sport-touring lineup with the Tracer 9 GT.
The 2021 Tracer 9 GT will don the new 889 cc engine, creating high levels of linear torque at lower rpm and is said to still produce remarkable acceleration. The updated model has a newly designed CF die-cast aluminium deltabox frame offering rigidity for sport bike-like agility. The new aluminium swingarm is 64 mm longer than the MT-09 to ensure high-speed stability without compromising its agility.
The sport-tourer has an “arrow” type silhouette help shaped by its windscreen, front fairing and fuel tank cover with a mono-focus LED twin-eye headlights. The KYB electronic fully-adjustable suspension on the front and rear is governed by a 6-axis IMU and ECU which activates the Hydraulic Unit and suspension control unit. The Tracer 9 GT also includes instantaneous damping adjust regardless of load or riding conditions.
To improve on the sport-touring model hard cases are fitted and mounted to a full floating carrier system standard for the Tracer 9 GT model. The Tracer 9 GT also includes four running modes adapting engine, throttle and traction response. As well as two seat adjustments, footrest adjustment and handlebar adjustment giving a total of eight different riding positions. To further comfort Yamaha has also fitted the Tracer 9 GT with a large windscreen that has 50 mm of adjustment and hand guards to help protect from the wind and weather. Long distance riding will be a favourite with this machine with an extended range of over 350 km from the 18-litre fuel tank, quick shift system, cornering LED lights, and the 3.5 inch multi-function TFT display.
We haven’t heard what to expect for pricing on the new Tracer 9 GT, but are sure to hear soon as more details are released.
