Suzuki is developing the V-Strom 800DE
The V-Strom 1050DE will soon have another sibling with the development of the V-Strom 800DE.
This new model will feature a 776 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, and produces 83 hp and 57 ft-lb. of torque. The engine will feature two gear-driven counterbalancers to help smooth vibration. The V-Strom 800DE will be built with more of an off-road focus in mind, with 220mm of front and rear travel, and a 21-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel; both wheels are spoked and will be set up for tubes.
The V-Strom 800DE boasts a 20-litre fuel tank, with a claimed fuel range estimated at 450 km. Another added touring bonus is the updated electronics featured on the model, the 5-inch TFT screen is standard, and features Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) which will include three ride modes and four traction control modes.
The new DL800DE was featured this year at EICMA, we do not yet know the estimated price or when we can expect to see the new adventure model hitting showroom floors.
